Jamie Borromeo is an educator, TEDx motivational speaker, author, and entrepreneur with a deep understanding of the connection between personal development of leaders, and its ability to change the world. Borromeo has co-chaired the Clinton Foundation Millennium Events in New York City and Hollywood to engage the next generation of leaders in global philanthropy. She is author of Young, Educated & Broke, which has international distribution in major retail outlets such as Target, Barnes & Noble, Amazon, iTunes, Walmart and bookstores around the world. She is also co-owner and operator of Happy Buddha Juice Bar & Happy Buddha Farm located on the Big Island of Hawai'i. She is also a high school teacher at Konawaena High School is pursuing a Master of Science Degree in Education at Johns Hopkins University School of Education.
Named as one of "America's Top Women Mentoring Leaders" by WOW Magazine, Jamie uses her illuminating perspective to guide and empower future generations to become more philanthropic and socially responsible business leaders and career professionals–specifically in the Millennial cohort (those born between 1980-2000). As a former intern on Capitol Hill and a self proclaimed "yogi," Jamie has brought the practice of yoga and meditation to corporate events and universities where she promotes work-life balance in the 21st Century.
Along with her inaugural book, Young, Educated & Broke, as well as Millennial Musings–a blog written to engage her generation on how to transform society working from the inside, out–Jamie has developed retreats, leadership training and college tours that address what she believes is a major stumbling block to America’s long economic recovery: the inability to develop the next generation of innovative entrepreneurs and career professionals.
By focusing on Millennials, who will inherit the current economic and government policies of this current generation, she believes an intergenerational approach can change the trajectory of the country.
In addition to her work empowering and developing future generations,Borromeo has consulted for over a dozen Fortune 500 senior executives, elected officials, and community-based organizations on issues of economic development, public policy, supplier diversity, and government contracting.
As former Executive Director of the National Council of Asian American Business Associations (NCAABA,) Ms. Borromeo was responsible for creating the signature program of the organization, The NCAABA Supplier Diversity, where she managed accounts with: Wells Fargo, Bloomingdale’s, Apple, Southwest Airlines, Lockheed Martin Space Systems, and other U.S. based corporations.
She is also former President of The E&J Commission LLC, a marketing and contract strategies firm based in Washington, D.C., and co-founder of GenerationDrive Entrepreneurs Network–a national non-profit that mentors young adult start-up firms. She is currently based in Kailua-Kona, Hawaii.

As Director of Fashion With Purpose–the official product line of the Young, Educated and Broke book tour–Alexia is our in-house fashion guru, and retail & merchandise extraordinaire. From promoting the next generation of leaders, to encouraging philanthropy and giving back to community through style, Alexia helps make sure that YEB’s message is heard (and seen!) loud and clear.
A jack of all trades, Tony keeps the Young, Educated and Broke book tour motor running. Organizing, delegating, scheduling, networking, fundraising–you name it, he does it. As Executive Assistant (and an aspiring entrepreneur,) Tony not only utilizes his leadership and public relations skills to get the word out about YEB, but to also help back-end operations of the tour run smoothly.
DIRECTOR, MILLENNIAL STREET TEAM
The Millennial Street Team is the grassroots following of the Young, Educated and Broke book tour, and as its Director, Michelle keeps the many moving parts of it all organized. Responsible for handling communications between the book tour staff and GenerationDrive–the official non-profit partner of the YEB tour –Michelle is a rockstar at navigating and streamlining all shared processes and initiatives between each team.
